4:02 pm [jaypops]	Computer Hacking Our firm just had speakers group come out today to discuss the problem of computer hacking... (Actually, they're still here, but I had to take a call so I had to bow out of the current session.) I'm appalled! I had no idea how serious this whole thing is. We've had some concerns in recent months that email and other parts of our computer system might have been 'hacked'--but I really had no clue how frequently it occurs (or how apparently simple it is for so many people to do). Dori and I need to evaluate our home system pronto. I keep passwords fairly insecurely, I admit. But they can allow identity theft, to name only one possible problem. (Getting into any of my bank accounts could be serious business, by the way! That's frightening to consider...) I need to send several belated bday greetings to online friends, it appears! (I'll run down the list and do that latter today, hopefully.) Hope all went well with your hospital visit, Charlie charliemc. 4:06 pm [jaypops]	Okay... So I'm giving this a try. I'm thinking that short entries will work best for me. I can just type a few quick lines here and there--meaning I'll (maybe) find the time for this. I hope. Maybe. I've been bad about online again. I'd let my moderation duties go if it weren't for good (very) and helpful (very) friends... And I never seem to get to posting old fic (even by request)--much less to writing any new. Dori and I have a heavy schedule for this month. Very. We'll be entertaining (for both friends and clients)--but we fortunately know some great caterers (and even have a friend who does decorating for parties for a song for us). Dori has some angst about not being able to spend time with her family before/on Christmas (for the first time in her life). But we're too booked up for her/us to fly to California. Such is life. But it was wonderful spending Thanksgiving there! Hello to all our friends. Sorry we've been so bad about keeping up with you. It's been an adjustment being married--but a good one...
